ECO DOMO IN THE SPACE

A few years ago, on an unusual day, an idea that promised to change history began. It is hard to believe that a single "idea" has so much meaning and its materialization can have so many repercussions on individuals and the world.

This marvelous story, worthy of sharing, shows us that simple processes of thought, motivation, and discipline can trigger a series of activities that generates the significant changes that revolutionize the world.

​If we think of any invention since the caverns era, as simple as it may seem, it is what someone at once classified as "only an idea" that today we are able to identify its relevance and see how each of them daily modify our environment.

The same way the Eco Domo project was born and for two years it has remained in the minds and hearts of thousands of people that have had contact and believed in it.

A Colombian Electronic Engineer with postgraduate degrees in Project Management and Telematics and Networks, who has the vision of contributing to the planet and society by delivering an ecological and sustainable solution with Eco Domos.​
 
His project, Eco Domo, has been awarded by the History Channel and AEXA (Aplicaciones Extraordinarias Aeroespaciales) in the framework of an "Idea to Change History" and his project will travel to space where Eco Domo materials will be tested in the MISSE module of the International Space Station.

We managed to get through a very difficult year amid a pandemic that has left an indelible print in every corner of the planet, reinventing ourselves for every day contribute to one of the great problems of the world today as it is the pollution by plastic waste.

​Furthermore, when dreams are big they can reach the sky, but ours was so big it managed to reach space by the hand of History Channel and AEXA, this is what today has us thinking that a pollution material can contribute to the future of science.

Since its inception, the MISSE module has produced results that have allowed ground and aerospace projects for testing in a variety of scenarios. The plastic wood of the Eco Dome may open new opportunities for demonstrating its utility on and off our planet after an orbit around 400 Kms.

Visually you can check the durability of the plastic in our environment, but now experimentally we can calculate the estimated number of years that the material is reliable for the structure of the domes and possibly other types of alternative construction in the world.

Today we are dedicated to teaching and sharing knowledge of the environment and looking forward to convincing the world that it is time to act to stop global warming.
